The BMF, Cutlery- and Metalware Factory, has been founded in 1908 at Solingen, called the "Mecca"
of the German cutlery- and hardware industrie.

BMF developed quickly and successfully as supplier of classic cutlery for tasteful consumers - mainly
on the home market.

Before end of World War II, the company moved the headquarters to Burgkunstadt in Bavaria. During the following years and decades the product range has been completed with traditional, well designed and funktional cutlery series as well as gift articles. At the same time - primarily in Europ - BMF intensified the sales activities with the retail trade.

In 1994, BMF has been taken over by the Swiss firm A. Pfister S.A. and became integrated in 1996 into the branch establishment of A. Pfister S.A., Burgkunstadt.

The new owners, since decades familiar with the BMF-products and international trade marks, are following consequently a product policy on the basis "Made in Germany" in connection with an international sales concept.

BMF - a manufacturer of high-quality cutlery and gift items,is producing nearly the complete collection in Germany. The small, but flexible and efficient company is specialised in supplying the cutlery retail trade and the wholesale in the middle and high class gastronomical business.

With an attractive collection in Edelstahl ( refined steel ) 18/10, silver plated, gold plated and in genuine silver, BMF enjoys an excellent reputation on the market on account of excellent qualityand of competitive prices.

As already mentioned, BMF offers a remarkable collection consisting of classic cutlery series, children sets and gift articles - all in Edelstahl ( refind steel ).

An extensive selection of design - from classic elegance to contemporary design - in connection with an organisation adapted to the needs of the retail trade ( e.g. gross-pricelists, gift boxes, each article individually obtainable ) makes BMF the ideal partner of national and international trade.
